Elise Pescheret, an artist based in Ventura, CA, creates paintings inspired by the endless horizons and rolling fields of her Midwestern upbringing, alongside the rugged, layered landscapes of her current West Coast home.
With a background in photography, she begins by seeking out natural compositions, focusing on high-contrast light and texture. She mentally frames these scenes before bringing them to life on canvas, aiming to recreate a sense of depth, density, and texture in her work.
